Pranzo di Ferragosto

Mid-August Lunch

(Italy, 2008, 76 minutes)

A middle-aged Roman who's unemployed to take care of his elderly mother accepts to take up in his flat the landlord's mother over an August bank holiday to make up for the rent he owes, but ends up stuck with four old ladies. Modest, amiable little comedy that plays like an extended anecdote but doesn't go very far.
