Incendiary

(Great Britain, 2008, 96 minutes)

An East End girl loses her husband and young son to a terrorist attack on a London football stadium. Dour, bleak but undeniably gripping melodrama from a controversial novel, carried by sensitive handling and a superb central performance; the power of the story is somewhat diluted by a series of side plots that don't really go anywhere.
