2009
89 minutes

In June 1982, as Israel invades Lebanon, an inexperienced tank crew is sent into the line of fire to provide cover for a paratrooper squad. Harrowing, tense, anti-war war movie based on its writer-director's own experiences in the Israeli army; a formally risky enterprise that takes place entirely within one battle tank over 24 hours and only gets out in the bookend shots, extraordinarily pulled off by a first-timer. Winner of the 2009 Venice Film Festival Golden Lion.
