THE KILLER INSIDE ME

USA/Great Britain/Sweden
2010
108 minutes

In 1950s smalltown Texas, a sheriff's deputy hides his true identity as a psychopathic killer. Valiant but unsatisfying attempt at adapting a classic novel long deemed unfilmable; everything is in the right place, including the period feel, the untenable graphic violence and a superb leading performance, but it never really comes together.
