PANDORUM

Germany/Great Britain
2009
108 minutes

An astronaut awakes from suspended animation to find himself in a gigantic spaceship carrying passengers to populate a distant planet, but slowly realises there is something very wrong going on. Derivative horror/sci-fi thriller whose genuinely unnerving control of mood and atmosphere and provocative premise slowly succumb to more predictable shock tactics; still, it's a cut above the usual second-rate genre fodder being presented these days.
